Wall preparation for Self-Adhesive Wallpaper – Peel and Stick and Non-woven wallpaper

Wall preparation guidelines:

Remove all old wallpaper.

Smooth out any rough surfaces. Rhyolite walls are your best option.

Clean with a damp cloth.

Paint with builder’s water based PVA paint.

All surfaces must be dry before applying.

Self-Adhesive Wallpaper – Peel and Stick

Our self-adhesive wallpaper is printed on a PVC film with removable adhesive. The adhesive material can be easily removed and repositioned multiple times without any loss of adhesion.

Self-adhesive wallpaper is an easy hassle-free way to transform a room.

With the removable adhesive there is no worry about surface damage when removing, making it the ideal product for rental properties and rooms that are regularly updated.

Application

With the image side down on a flat surface, peel back the release liner approximately 10cm.

Fold the liner firmly to give a strip of exposed adhesive.

Position the graphic and press the adhesive onto the surface. Take care the first panel is straight to avoid misaligned graphics.

Beginning from the top edge and working horizontally, use a squeegee with firm, overlapping strokes to apply the graphic. Tip: Move from the centre outwards to the edges to avoid trapped air. A squeegee is provided in each order.

Continue to remove the liner and apply the graphic in approximately 20cm instalments.

Go over the whole graphic and check there are no pockets of trapped air. If these cannot be squeezed out, a sharp knife can be used to create a tiny hole and allow the bubble to be pushed flat.

Give edges an additional squeegee to ensure good adhesion and avoid lifting.

Squeegee is provided with each order.

Non-woven wallpaper

Our high quality European non-woven wallpaper is easily installed using a standard non-woven wallpaper solvent-free paste.

Easy to remove.

High scratch resistance.

Water-resistant.

Covers small cracks.

Application

Paste the wall with a solvent free adhesive

Hang the way one would hang any non-woven wallpaper

Use a damp cloth to remove any excess wallpaper paste from the media.
