• Use a suction-only setting (no rotating brush) to avoid damaging the fibers.

Spot Cleaning (Spills & Stains)

• Act quickly – seagrass is absorbent
• Blot (don’t rub) with a clean, dry cloth
• For tougher spots:
  • Use a slightly damp cloth with mild soap
  • Gently dab the area
  • Dry immediately with a towel or hairdryer (cool setting)

What to Avoid

• Don’t soak the rug — excess water can cause warping, mold, or shrinking
• Avoid steam cleaners or shampoo machines
• Don’t use harsh chemicals

Deep Care

• Occasionally take the rug outside and shake it out
• Let it air in a dry, shaded area (avoid direct harsh sun for long periods)

• Avoid dragging heavy furniture across it — this can cause the weave to break or pull apart.
• Avoid placing seagrass rugs under dining room tables. The constant movement of chair legs in and out can cause the weave to pull apart and damage the rug over time.
